Social Media Marketing -- 3 Easy Ways to Get Started With Video Marketing Right Now
Lauren McMullen

If you are using Social Media to market your products and services online then I am sure you have noticed that everywhere you turn is another YouTube video. There is a good reason for that. Videos work!

Here are some amazing statistics.

50 percent of what is online is video 80 percent of people will watch a video on a webpage rather than read text 50 percent of those people will take action

When you add those statistics to the fact that Google owns YouTube you will realize how important video can be to get you on the first page of Google for your keywords.

Many people are reluctant to get started with video because they don't want to be on camera so in this article I will give you 3 easy strategies for using video in your marketing plan that don't involve you in front of the camera.

In each strategy you will need a YouTube.com account or channel as they are now called. You can have as many channels as you want but each one must be attached to a separate email address and I always recommend you get your name first if it is available. Later you can start a channel in your business name or a product name if you like but your name will always be the same.

Strategy Number 1 -- Screenshot videos- These are videos where people see your screen and you narrate as you move from place to place on your computer. They are most often training videos about how to do something online but they can also show people different webpages or preview a new website.

There are many ways to capture these videos for free. Jing is a free screen capture video application made by the Camtasia people and the only requirement is the video must be under 5 minutes. There is no editing available in this program but since the videos are short if you make a mistake then you can just start over.

After you shoot the video you should download it to your computer and then upload it to You Tube so the most people as possible will see it. You can download Jing at http://www.jingproject.com/

Free Strategy Number 2 Anamoto - This is another free application that allow you to create a slide show style video using the photos or pictures off of your computer. The site allows you to upload up to 12 images and add music and text. When you are done you can upload to You Tube with just one click. To get this tool go to http://animoto.com

Free Strategy Number 3 Other People's Videos - The reason people put videos on You Tube is so they can be shared and create more visibility for their products and services so if you like a video they make it very simple for you to add that video to your website or social networking sites. They give you a URL that is clickable or you can grab the embed code to put the actual player right on your website or blog.
