Personable Writing--The Key To Creating Customer Loyalty
Margaret Crum

When communicating with your customers do you come across as a dullard, a geek or a personable character that others want to emulate? Allowing your personality to shine through in your writing is a necessary skill for obtaining and keeping customers for life.

We all know that the most valuable assets of any business are the customers that we have. If you think differently, perhaps yours is a different business altogether. What is the point of advertising if not to win customers? A loyal customer can provide years of income to your business.

If you're having trouble conveying your charming personality in ink and paper, there are many ghostwriters who can help you craft a story that your customers will look forward to reading month after month.

Consider your favorite characters in books, television or even radio. Do you anxiously await the next installment or program to learn what they are "up to" next? Chances are you've got a vested interest in their personalities and actually care about the outcome of their current situation. The best thing about the Sex and the City movie was the fact that we (fans) got the opportunity to see our favorite characters again and catch up on what they had been up to.

With a little imagination, you too can create your own character image that will capture the hearts and minds of your customers. Once you've accomplished this feat, you could quite possibly slash your advertising expenses in half. Why do I say this and how can it be done? Because if your customers identify with you, trust you and are interested in your success and shortcomings, they will ultimately begin to refer you to their friends and associates.

There is no better compliment for a business owner than a referral from a loyal customer. It just doesn't get any better than that.
