The Top 5 Free eBay Business Tools
William Drayton

When people think eBay, they think auctions. For the purpose of this article, I am going to share with you some amazing free tools that you can use when setting up eBay auctions and stores. Rather than spending money, we are going to talk about making money.

Some of these tools will not only help you with creating auctions and listings, one tool will actually help you to spy on your competition and to also check out what is hot and what is not. What's even better is that these tools are free.

The world of eBay is a fascinating one and it can also be very profitable if you know how best to navigate its competitive market place. You will also need to learn how to create effective listings fast. eBay in effect is the largest brokerage site on the planet and it provides you with a host of opportunities.

The first tool I'm going to cover is called eBay Pulse (pulse.ebay.com). As the name suggests, this tool is about monitoring the pulse of the market. What are the best products, and what keywords are used most frequently to search for products? This tool, in effect, tells you what the market place is looking for. It will also identify which are the largest stores and from there you can dig even deeper.

eBay Pulse is a really good keyword tracker which can actually tell what are the popular keywords - which then you can use in your listings. eBay Pulse also gives you the ability to find potentially profitable products.

Remember that the information on eBay pulse is not based on closed auctions; it is only based on search statistics, so keep that in mind when using this tool. In essence, eBay Pulse is just a snapshot of that day's current search trends on eBay. So if you trying to figure out what kind of store to open or what products to sell, this is where you should begin your research..

The next tool is called Turbo Lister (pages.ebay.com/turbo_lister/). This tool is all about uploading multiple listings. Once again, this is free to download, the good thing with Turbo Lister is that it enables you to create attractive listings quickly and easily then upload them in bulk. Another feature that you get with Turbo Lister is the ability to edit and schedule your active listings. You can also relist quickly if you have to. Again all this is free and it provides you will additional resources so that you can make a profit on eBay.

Another tool available to you is Auction Link (www.bonkly.com)... basically, all you need to do to get your hands on this software is to sign up for their mailing list. So what can this software do for you?

This is one of my favorites simply because it enables you to take any drop shipper's items from their available database, pull out that data and create thousands of listings. This is truly amazing because the more listings you have, the more opportunities you have to be found within the eBay market place. The more you are found, the more sales you will make.

This simple powerful software application can run on your windows desktop. This software also enables you to determine how much profit you want to make per item. In the event you want to customize your listing, no problem, you can add your own pictures and company logo; whatever you need to do, this software can do it. This software truly saves you a lot of time.

Next up is Auctiva (www.auctiva.com). Essentially, this tool is wonderful in that it helps you to organize, save money and boost your traffic. Another feature that Auctiva has is to schedule your listings automatically and you can do this without being charged the additional eBay fees. This again is a great time saver.

Furthermore, it also allows you to add more pictures without having to fork out more money to eBay for those extra pictures. Auctiva is based in the US so when listing items with this software, just remember that your store will be in the US time zone.

Another tool at your disposal is called Vendio (www.vendio.com). This tool you can use on your listings to see how many people visit each auction. By the way, this is not just about page views, but this in actual fact will tell you the number of visitors you have had per each page that you have listed.

It will also tell how many bids you have had. This information can be broken down either by the day or week. Vendio is used by many top power sellers and is good if you launch less than 500 auctions a month. They also have an upgrade version of the software which provides you with even more features, but for the purpose of this article, I am going to stick with the free applications.

Bonus Tool: Last but not least, the fundamental question you may be asking is, "Wow, all these tools are great but where can I find products to sell"? That is where the next free tool comes in. This tool comes from GoWholesale.com and enables you to find wholesalers and drop shippers for free.

Normally, when doing a search online, you will find that you have to pay for lists of distributors. This used to really frustrate me since you do not know what you are getting; however, not so with this tool, you get it all for free. All you have to do is input your keyword and it will search out relative products for you.

This again is a great time saver and at least you can get a taste for what is out there without having to fork out any money.

In conclusion, all these tools can really help you to manage and run an Ebay auction or multiple auctions for that matter for free. So take advantage of them, this way you further ensure your success when selling on eBay.
